Stupid little Sarnia kids!

I'm a little fed up with kids at the Y here in Sarnia. I pay for a membership, and I swipe my card in order to get in. Then I swipe to go up to the gym, or to the members only changeroom. However, I don't need to swipe to leave. It's one of those small things that you can push one way, but not the other, however, you can easily get in the out door. Which is what a lot of kids do - then they go into the gymnasium part to play basketball. Firstly, I'm a little annoyed at the staff there that none of these kids are ever stopped, since the entrance is right beside the desk.

This past Monday, Ally, Warren, Gil & I went to play badminton in the gym, since it was badminton time. So we took up half the court, and the other half was open gym, where a lot of people were playing basketball. So, we were happily playing badminton on our half, and there were the small nets behind us at each end. And some of these kids decide to go & play basketball behind where Ally & Warren were playing on their side. WTF??? Can you NOT SEE that we're playing there??? They just didn't care - no respect for us at all. And they were annoying, and basketballs hurt a lot more than birdies. I tried to hit the birdie hard into them, so that they would hopefully leave, but every time I tried, I did even worse (the first time, I hit into the net, then I hit like 2 feet, etc)

And tonight, I was doing an Aquafit class. We've got our part of the pool during that time, when some kid comes & just jumps in, splashing us all. It didn't bother me much, but some of the other people were annoyed. I was just disgusted by the inconsideration! Then there were other kids in other parts of the pool that were just loud & obnoxious.

Maybe I'm just getting too old, and these things are retarded.

  • I think it's time we break out the strap again. But if we did that... I'd end up beating up half of Hong Kong for inconsideration.
