Rambles of my life

Might as well jump, JUMP! Go ahead and jump!

G'evening Cyberspace!

Here I sit on Thursday evening of my 5th out of 16 weeks of work. Wondering where the last 5 weeks have gone, yet at the same time, wondering why this week felt longer. And yet, it didn't really - some of the days were just long feeling.

Lou brought this up in her blog, that when you get into a routine, time just flies by. The evenings go fast - I get home around 4:30pm, go on the computer for awhile, go to the gym, make dinner, sometimes play guitar, shower, make lunch, and add in more internet in there! I normally go to bed around 11:30pm during work terms, and a lot of days, I'm super-tired, and say I'm going to go to sleep earlier, but it never happens. 11pm creeps up on me, and I realize I need to make lunch/get ready for bed/end convos on MSN. And I normally like to read before bed, but normally can't read more than a few pages before I'm falling asleep on the pillow. In fact, I thought I would read more this term, but that's not happening as much as I'd like. Or maybe it's just b/c while the book I'm reading is good, it's not one that I seem to have gotten really into yet, so it's taking me a long time to read :S

However, this book that I am reading, "Microserfs," had a good, memorable quote in it. I can't find the exact quote, but it was something like "Time is like money, you never think about it unless you don't have it." So true.

Time definitely has flown in university. I still can't believe I'm going into 4A in May! FOURTH YEAR! I never knew if I would make it this far! And in a year, I'll be almost ready for my IRS. Wow! Then I'll graduate, and all the friends I've made, I'm sure I'll lose touch with a number of them. Which is sad. And what will I do after graduation?? I don't know what I want to do yet!

Well kids, I'm off to go skiing at Blue Mountain this weekend. I've only skiied twice in my life, and those were in grades 7 & 8. So wish me luck in not breaking my leg! Have a good weekend everyone!

  • Oh jill, you'll never lose touch with the people that mean the most to you. Their relationship with you are worth the effort to preserve. Have a good time at Blue Mountain!
