For those about to rock, we salute you!
Today was not an overly exciting day - I went for a bike ride to the dentist, and other various places in uptown Waterloo (biking b/c my parents needed the cars :P) I've been thinking for a long time about buying a guitar, and think I might actually do it, and learn to play. I've wanted to learn for awhile. So I was in Waterloo Music, and saw a bunch, ranging from $100-2000! I'm looking in the cheaper range, obviously ;) But didn't buy any, b/c I wanted to look at some of them online for opinions, and also I didn't want to carry it with me on my bike :P
I was also in Adventure Outfitters, and looking at backpacks. I saw the area with all the Nalgene bottles, and saw the little ones. It reminded me of Pat - last term, in the first two weeks, she got one of the smaller ones, and we were arguing by writing during class - she claimed hers was "better b/c it was cuter" and I claimed mine was "better b/c it was sexier." Later that same day, we were in a computer lab, on separate computers with backs to each other, when she suddenly messaged me, saying "oh, btw, Pat's no longer single." (she had been dating Tim for a month, but didn't tell us) I said "Pat, your water bottle doesn't count as you no longer being single." She laughed out loud - her typical cheery Pat laugh. That made me smile in the store, but sad at the same time, for obvious reasons.
Also while biking today, I saw students starting to move in. And the beer store was busier, due to this increase in student population. It made me excited, b/c my friends are going to be coming back! So I'm more excited about school. I think one of my reasons for not looking forward to it is b/c it'll be the first term that I'm going to enter on the first day of class, and Pat won't jump up to give me a hug right away :S But life goes on I s'pose, although for some of the reasons of things happening last term, I'm not really looking forward to it. But life goes on...c'est la vie.
